THEATRE FOR THE OTHER
An offering only Iron Crow Theatre delivers, this workshop allows students to dialogue with faculty and industry professionals about what it means to be the “other” either because of your race, gender, sexual orientation, or body shape. In this personal, safe, and supportive conversation, you’ll leave eager to show the world exactly what makes you the only you there is!

HOW TO IMPRESS THE PEOPLE WHO MATTER
You booked the gig! Now, how do you book the next? More often than not, it’s not your next audition that will determine your future success, but rather how you show up for your current gig. Learn from a professional director and stage manager how to maintain a reputation that last far longer than any one singular audition.

HANDLING CRITIQUE AND CRITICISM
We’ve all mishandled critique and criticism before — whether receiving it or trying to offer it. We’ll start out with the foundational techniques of how to emotionally and intellectually process this type of dialogue and set the expectations on how we’ll engage with this type of communication throughout the week. You’ll quickly develop the tools necessary to effectively receive and provide artistic critique of your own.

UNCOVERING AND AMPLIFYING YOUR PERSONAL BRAND
Ever wonder how a star is born? It begins by uncovering the unique aspects of your personality that make you unlike any other performer out there. Then it’s time to share all that makes you you with as many people as possible. Utilizing a variety of digital tools, you’ll be equipped with the basic understanding of how to take your brand to the next level while respecting the delicate etiquette of self promotion.

INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL PANEL Q&A
A curated panel of industry professionals will speak to their experiences on Broadway, national tours, regional, university, and local theatre. From music directors to casting directors, actors to singers, you’ll be given the rare chance to interact directly with the panel in a live Q&A format.

BROADWAY MORNING BOOTCAMP
Start every day with a high-energy head-to-toe Broadway style warm-up! You’ll be introduced to a variety of movement styles and techniques resulting in a physical instrument that is expressive, available, and ready for the work ahead.

MOVEMENT, MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION
Through a variety of movement styles and techniques, you’ll learn how to relieve stress, increase concentration, and establish an overall sense of well-being through a routine you’ll be able to learn and practice on your own. You’ll be given a chance to recharge and refocus in a supportive environment.

COLLEGE PREP I & II
Whether you’ve been accepted to a college program already or are looking to polish up your future admission audition, we’re going to make sure you’re ready for college. Already accepted? Learn what life is about to look like. Auditioning next year? We’ll make sure you’re ready. Not sure if you want to study theatre in the future? We’ll help you start your discovery process.

AUDITION TECHNIQUE I & II
Never sweat an audition again! We’ll prepare you for the entire professional audition process including everything that needs to take place before, during, and after. You’ll gain the tools and materials necessary to show up at your next audition centered and with authenticity.

MONOLOGUE WORKSHOP SERIES
In this series of three courses, you’ll start with learning how to select material that best suits your age, type, and ability and will receive an assigned monologue to work on for the rest of the week. You’ll take a deep-dive into Konstantin Stanislavski’s method — breaking down a monologue into a series of active tactics in pursuit of a strong objective. You’ll then layer on physical and vocal character choices before performing your monologue and receiving individualized feedback and coaching.

ACTING FOR THE (WEB)CAMERA I & II
Virtual theatre is a here to stay - in some form and fashion. From online submissions and casting calls, to virtual rehearsals and productions learn the latest tips & tricks from the latest pro’s for ensuring your best self tape, video submission, or virtual audition, rehearsal, or performance.

VOCAL PRODUCTION I & II
Did you know there’s a whole system of spelling words by sounds instead of letters? The International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) is the professional standard for developing a neutral American dialect — an essential ability of any trained performer. It’s also the key to unlocking believable and truthful accents. Remember those monologues assigned at the beginning of the week? You’ll apply the techniques learned here to enhance your monologue performance.

COHORT CONFERENCES
Through the rare opportunity to participate in daily meetings with your cohort, you’ll be welcomed into a new theatre family with other like-minded theatre students. You’ll discuss what you're excited about most, what’s challenging you, and what’s transformed your craft in ways you never thought possible.

WELCOME & ORIENTATION
Here’s where it all begins! You’ll begin your week meeting your cohort, receiving your personalized coaching schedule, and hearing from a special surprise Broadway star (or two 🤩)!
