AN ALL-NEW LIVE
PRIDE EDITION RETURNS!
JUNE 13 - 29, 2025
A look back at Iron Crow Theatre’s 2023 production of The Rocky Horror Show as featured on CBS News Baltimore.
Iron Crow Theatre’s annual fundraiser and Baltimore's favorite LIVE tradition returns in a new raucous celebratory pride event!
In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
Every ticket holder gets an audience participation script and prop bag complete with cascading toilet paper, water guns, and an array of other gadgets and goodies! This deliberately kitschy rock 'n' roll sci-fi gothic musical is Baltimore’s favorite yearly tradition, and this year it’s queerer than ever!
“A musical that deals with mutating identity and time warps becomes one of the most mutated, time-warped phenomena in show business.”
— Ben Brantley
“…genderbending, tacky, sexually loosey-goosey, with a plot that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. In other words, the perfect show for Charm City.”
— Jill Kyle-Keith
“…the raucous involvement of the folks in the seats gives a daffy boost to the appeal of this loving revival of O’Brien’s musical”
— Charles Isherwood

It’s both outrageous and frightening that the production you are about to witness either currently does or may soon violate the law in as many as 14 states in The United States in 2025. In 2024, 21 drag-restricting bills are being considered in 12 states; 2 states have already signed these bills into law.
As anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments continue to spread across the country and become law, we’re fighting back with an all-new pride edition of The Rocky Horror Show! While certainly staying true to the inherent camp within the piece, we aimed to add a layer of artistry in recognizing Brad Majors as one of the first genuinely bisexual protagonists written into the musical theater canon and by positioning the piece as Brad and Janet’s story - a journey of two individuals so oppressed by gender norms, that it takes a wild adventure into this fantastic castle of chaos to find their true selves, and in doing so, still choose unity in each other.
Moreover, we pay tribute to the remarkable queer trailblazers who have come before in a few carefully placed Easter eggs throughout. Did you catch Marsha P. Johnson’s headpiece? What about our nod to Eddie Windsor? Through all of our choices, we’ve remained true to our mission in using this production to celebrate the beauty and resilience of the Queer Community in all of its stunning colors.
Without you, our audience and supporters, Iron Crow Theatre, could not exist. Thank you for supporting queer theatre and small professional theatre here in Baltimore. I promise you; it means so much to so many; here in Maryland and across the country.
Happy Pride,
Sean Elias, M.A., B.F.A.

WHOSE STREETS? OUR STREETS!”: NYC 1980 - 2000
New York City streets were turbulent and often violent as residents responded to the AIDS epidemic and social changes in their city, as well as to national and international developments. What began as part of our production’s dramaturgical research has now been brought to life in the Baltimore Theatre Project’s gallery through a partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology. 37 photographers documented ordinary New Yorkers as they rallied, marched, and demonstrated. The exhibition was curated by Tamar W. Carroll, Meg Handler, Mike Kamber, and Josh Meltzer.
